Used Suzuki 200HP Outboard for Sale
Buy a used Suzuki 200HP four stroke outboard for sale online, on a 25 inch extra long shaft with electric start, remote steering and power trim and tilt. Two hundred horsepower on an offshore shaft is where Suzuki value proposition gets genuinely interesting, because the price gap against the equivalent Yamaha and Mercury grows with the size of the engine. It suits offshore singles and heavier center consoles in the low to mid twenties. Ask us for the hour reading and compression figures before you order. Order this Suzuki 200 outboard from the page, or send us the hull model and the transom measurement and we will confirm the fit before you pay.
Supplied with
- Engine, cowling and mounting hardware, factory assembled
- Owner manual, warranty booklet and registration certificate
- Propeller not included on engines from 40hp up, pitched to order on request
- Remote control box, cables and rigging tube available as an add on
- First service kit available at checkout, oil filter and gear oil
Not sure on shaft length
Measure vertically from the top of the transom to the lowest point of the hull. Fifteen inches takes a short shaft, twenty inches a long shaft, twenty five inches an extra long. This engine is an extra long shaft, 25in.
Buy a used Suzuki 200HP outboard: where the value sits
The price difference between Suzuki and the market leaders is roughly proportional at every output, which means it is worth the most in absolute terms on the big engines.
At 60 horsepower the saving buys a propeller. At 200 it buys a serious part of a repower: controls, rigging, a prop and the labor.
That is the practical argument for the brand at this size. The counterargument is unchanged: thinner dealer coverage and weaker resale. Check what service is within reach of you before you decide.

What a 25 inch 200HP outboard suits
Offshore singles from about 22 to 26 feet, heavier bay boats and walkarounds. Twenty five inches is the offshore transom standard.
If you have a 20 inch transom this is the wrong engine and we will say so rather than sell it to you. Measure from the top of the transom straight down to the hull bottom at the centerline.
Cross shopping the 200HP band
We hold alternatives at this output, so compare them directly rather than on a spec sheet.
The Yamaha F200 is the used route into the same size and often the cheaper one outright, on the same 25 inch offshore shaft. Cross shop the two on hours and on what rigging comes with each.
Cross shopping the 200HP band honestly
At this output you have a genuine choice, and we stock enough of it to give you a straight comparison rather than a sales line.
This Suzuki is the newer of the two at this output, on the offshore shaft length.
The Yamaha F200 is used and costs less outright, with the strongest resale badge of any brand if you expect to sell the boat on.
Which is right depends on how long you keep boats and how far you are from a dealer. Tell us both and we will give you an answer rather than a brochure.
Frequently asked questions
Are Suzuki outboards good at 200HP?
Yes. Suzuki builds durable four strokes across the range, and at larger outputs the price advantage against Yamaha and Mercury is worth the most in absolute money.
What size boat needs a 200HP outboard?
Usually a 22 to 26 foot offshore single, a heavier bay boat or a walkaround. Check the maximum rating on your capacity plate before ordering.
What year and how many hours is this Suzuki 200?
The listing stated neither, so neither is claimed here. We read the year from the serial number and the hours from the engine, and confirm both in writing before you order.
Suzuki or Yamaha at 200HP on the used market?
Suzuki costs less for the same output and Yamaha holds resale better. Both are durable four strokes. Tell us how long you keep boats and we will give you a straight answer rather than push whichever is in stock.
Will this 25 inch Suzuki 200HP fit my transom?
Only if it measures about 25 inches from the top down to the hull bottom at the centerline. A 20 inch transom needs a long shaft engine instead.

Shipping and crating
The engine is bolted upright to a purpose built pallet, braced at the cowling and skinned before it leaves the warehouse. Crates are photographed on the dock and the photographs are attached to your order record.
Freight is curbside by default. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a delivery window, and you will need a second pair of hands or a tractor to take the crate off the truck. Liftgate service and delivery direct to an authorized dealer can both be added at checkout.
Standard transit is five to ten working days depending on zone, express is one to three. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are quoted separately.
| Destination zone | Freight on this engine | Transit |
|---|---|---|
| Standard freight | $100 | About a week |
| Express freight | $250 | 1 to 3 days |
Warranty
This used Suzuki is compression tested, run on the dyno and listed with its hour count and service history. It carries a ninety day parts and labor warranty from us unless the balance of factory cover runs longer.
Warranty work can be carried out at any authorized Suzuki dealer in the United States. You are not tied to us for servicing, and buying online does not shorten or void the factory cover.
The serial number on this listing, 11F-9469366, is the unit that ships to you. It appears on your invoice and on the warranty registration.

Extended service cover can be added within the first year. Ask the sales desk to add it to your invoice.
