Outboard Motors For Sale
67 outboards in stock across Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Evinrude, Johnson, from 3hp to 425hp, 45 units held. Every engine is authorized dealer stock, crated for freight and shipped to all 48 states with factory warranty registered in your name.
Filter by horsepower, brand, shaft length, start type and steering to match your transom. If you are unsure which configuration fits your hull, send the transom measurement with a quote request and we will confirm it before you buy.
No engines match those filters
Clear a filter or two, or tell us what you are trying to power and we will find it. We can usually source a configuration inside two weeks.
Buying an outboard motor
Start with the capacity plate
The capacity plate at your transom gives the maximum horsepower the hull is rated for. Work from that figure rather than from the engine you are replacing, and stay within roughly ten percent of it. An underpowered hull sits bow high, planes late and burns more fuel than the same hull correctly rated.
Shaft length decides the fit
Measure vertically from the top of the transom to the lowest point of the hull. Fifteen inches takes a short shaft, twenty inches a long shaft, twenty five inches an extra long. Fitted correctly, the anti ventilation plate finishes level with the hull bottom. Too short and the engine ventilates in a turn, too long and it drags.
Tiller or remote steering
Tiller control suits tenders and small skiffs where the helm sits aft. Remote steering is standard from roughly forty horsepower up and is required for any console installation. Remote engines are supplied without a control box or cables unless you add them to the order.
What ships with the engine
New engines from 40hp up are supplied without a propeller so the pitch can be matched to your hull, and without controls or cables unless you add them. Owner manual, warranty booklet and registration certificate ship inside the crate with every engine.
Questions on this range
Do engines ship with controls and a propeller?
Remote models ship without a control box or cables, and engines from 40hp up ship without a propeller so it can be pitched to your hull. Both can be added to your order and shipped in the same crate.
Can I order a shaft length that is not listed?
Yes. Most models are available in short, long and extra long. If the length you need is not showing in stock we can usually source it inside two weeks.
How quickly do engines ship?
In stock engines are crated and collected within one to three working days. Standard transit is a further five to ten days depending on zone, and express is one to three. Anything sourced from the distributor adds five to fourteen days.
Can I collect from Tampa instead?
Yes, by appointment from the Adamo Drive warehouse, which saves the freight cost. We will run the engine on the tank with you before you load it.
