New Suzuki 60HP Outboard for Sale

Buy a new Suzuki 60HP four stroke outboard online, on a 20 inch long shaft with electric start, remote steering and power trim and tilt. Suzuki has spent thirty years being the brand that gives you the same horsepower for less money than the market leaders, and at 60HP that gap is a large share of what the engine costs. This is the size that repowers 16 to 18 foot aluminum boats and pontoons, and a new Suzuki 60 outboard comes with factory warranty registered in your name. Order it from this page, or send your hull model and transom measurement and we will confirm the fit before you pay.

Supplied with

  • Engine, cowling and mounting hardware, factory assembled
  • Owner manual, warranty booklet and registration certificate
  • Propeller not included on engines from 40hp up, pitched to order on request
  • Remote control box, cables and rigging tube available as an add on
  • First service kit available at checkout, oil filter and gear oil

Not sure on shaft length

Measure vertically from the top of the transom to the lowest point of the hull. Fifteen inches takes a short shaft, twenty inches a long shaft, twenty five inches an extra long. This engine is a long shaft, 20in.

Why buy a Suzuki outboard

Suzuki is the value play in outboards, and that needs saying properly rather than as a slogan.

The engineering is not the compromise. Suzuki has been building four stroke outboards since before most of the market took them seriously, and the engines are durable in the way that matters: they run a long time with ordinary servicing.

What you are giving up is dealer density and resale. Mercury has more service points and Yamaha holds value better. If you keep boats a long time and service them locally, the money you save at purchase is real. If you turn boats over every two years, some of it comes back off the resale.

The model year and displacement were not stated on this listing, so neither is quoted here. Ask and we will confirm both from the engine.

What size boat takes a 60HP outboard

Aluminum fishing boats from 16 to 18 feet, pontoons to about 20 feet, and small runabouts. Sixty is the step that gets a loaded hull on plane when a 50 is straining.

Check the maximum rating on your capacity plate and aim within about ten percent of it. Send us the hull model and the transom measurement and we will confirm the fit before you order.

Buy a Suzuki 60 outboard online

Suzuki dealer coverage is thinner than Mercury or Yamaha, which is exactly why ordering online makes more sense with this brand than with either of them. Searching Suzuki outboard dealer near me is a shorter list in most states.

This engine ships crated on curbside liftgate freight, quoted by weight and destination. The rest of the range is on Suzuki outboards for sale.

What Suzuki warranty covers and for how long

Buying new means factory cover, and it is worth knowing the shape of it rather than assuming.

Cover runs from the date of dispatch and is registered in your name, which is what makes it valid. We handle that registration rather than leaving it to you to chase.

It covers manufacturing defect. It does not cover corrosion on an engine never flushed after saltwater use, damage from running dry, or failures traceable to missed services.

That last one is the practical point: keep the service record and the cover holds. Skip the scheduled work and a claim becomes a dispute.

Ask us to confirm the current term and what extension is available before you order, and we will put the answer in writing rather than paraphrase a brochure.

Frequently asked questions

Are Suzuki outboards any good?

Yes. Suzuki has built four stroke outboards longer than most of the market and the engines are durable with ordinary servicing. What you trade is dealer density and resale value, not engineering.

Why are Suzuki outboards cheaper?

Market position rather than specification. Suzuki prices below Yamaha and Mercury for comparable output, and accepts thinner dealer coverage and weaker resale as the cost of that.

What size boat needs a 60HP outboard?

Usually a 16 to 18 foot aluminum fishing boat, a pontoon to about 20 feet, or a small runabout. The capacity plate on your transom decides it.

Where can I get a Suzuki outboard serviced?

Suzuki dealer coverage is real but thinner than Mercury. Check what is within reach of you before buying, because on any outboard the service question matters more than the purchase.

Does a new Suzuki come with warranty?

Yes, Suzuki factory cover registered in your name on the day of dispatch. Ask us to confirm the current term before you order.

Shipping and crating

The engine is bolted upright to a purpose built pallet, braced at the cowling and skinned before it leaves the warehouse. Crates are photographed on the dock and the photographs are attached to your order record.

Freight is curbside by default. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a delivery window, and you will need a second pair of hands or a tractor to take the crate off the truck. Liftgate service and delivery direct to an authorized dealer can both be added at checkout.

Standard transit is five to ten working days depending on zone, express is one to three. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are quoted separately.

Standard freight $100 About a week

Warranty

New Suzuki outboards carry the full 3 years Suzuki limited warranty for private recreational use, 1 year for commercial use. We register the warranty in your name on the day of dispatch and the certificate ships inside the crate.

Warranty work can be carried out at any authorized Suzuki dealer in the United States. You are not tied to us for servicing, and buying online does not shorten or void the factory cover.

The serial number on this listing, 11F-3832678, is the unit that ships to you. It appears on your invoice and on the warranty registration.

3 years, extendable to 6 years

Extended service cover can be added within the first year. Ask the sales desk to add it to your invoice.
