Used Yamaha F350 350HP Outboard for Sale
Buy a used Yamaha F350 350HP V8 outboard for sale online, a 2018 engine on a 25 inch extra long shaft. The F350 was the engine that proved a big displacement V8 could work on a transom, and it is still the choice when a heavy offshore hull needs single engine power rather than a pair. Buying a used Yamaha F350 is a different calculation from buying a 250 or a 300: fewer were built, they were fitted to serious boats, and the ones that reach the market tend to have been maintained because of what they cost new. Send us the hull model and transom measurement and we will confirm the fit before you pay.
Supplied with
- Engine, cowling and mounting hardware, factory assembled
- Owner manual, warranty booklet and registration certificate
- Propeller not included on engines from 40hp up, pitched to order on request
- Remote control box, cables and rigging tube available as an add on
- First service kit available at checkout, oil filter and gear oil
Not sure on shaft length
Measure vertically from the top of the transom to the lowest point of the hull. Fifteen inches takes a short shaft, twenty inches a long shaft, twenty five inches an extra long. This engine is an extra long shaft, 25in.
Buy a used Yamaha F350 V8 outboard
Three hundred and fifty horsepower from a single outboard is a specific solution to a specific problem: a heavy hull that needs the thrust of two engines but only has transom for one, or an owner who would rather service one motor than a pair.
The F350 does it with displacement rather than boost. A large V8 making its power without forced induction is a straightforward engine to own, and it is the reason these have held up on boats that work.
What it costs you is weight on the transom and fuel at cruise. Neither is a surprise if you are shopping at this output, but both are worth confirming against your hull rating before you order.

Yamaha F350 price: single V8 against twin smaller engines
This is the comparison worth making before you buy. A single F350 against twin 175s or a pair of 200s comes down to four things.
One engine is cheaper to service, cheaper to winterise and simpler to rig. Two engines give you redundancy, which matters the further offshore you go, and spread the weight across the transom.
On fuel, the single usually wins at displacement speeds and loses when you are pushing a heavy hull hard. On resale, big singles are a narrower market than twins, which is part of why a used F350 can be good value.
If a pair is what your boat wants, look at the 2011 Yamaha Pair F350 or the 2024 Yamaha Pair F350XSA.
What boats take a Yamaha 350HP outboard
Heavy offshore center consoles and walkarounds in the high twenties to low thirties as a single, and larger hulls as one of a pair or a triple.
Transom weight is the constraint people underestimate. A V8 outboard is considerably heavier than the V6 it replaces, and on an older hull it is worth checking the transom and the trim of the boat before you commit to the repower.
Propping and mounting a single Yamaha F350
A single 350 on a hull that might otherwise have carried twins asks more of the propeller and the mounting height than a smaller engine does.
Pitch has to suit the boat loaded as you actually use it. A V8 held below its rated revs by too much pitch runs hot and drinks fuel, and on a heavy hull that is easy to get wrong in the direction of optimism.
Mounting height matters because a single engine has no second prop to share the load. Too low and you drag, too high and it ventilates in a turn, and the right answer depends on the hull rather than on a rule.
Send us the boat, the weight you carry and what it is used for, and we will specify the prop rather than ship whatever is on the shelf.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Yamaha F350 a V8?
Yes, a naturally aspirated V8 four stroke. It makes its power through displacement rather than forced induction, which is a large part of why it has proved durable on boats that work hard.
Is one Yamaha F350 better than twin smaller outboards?
It depends on the boat. A single is cheaper to service and simpler to rig. A pair gives you redundancy offshore and spreads weight across the transom. Fuel favours the single at cruise and the pair when pushing hard.
How much does a Yamaha F350 weigh?
Considerably more than the V6 it usually replaces, which is the main thing to check before a repower. The listing did not state a figure so none is quoted here; ask and we will confirm it from the engine.
What size boat needs a Yamaha F350?
Typically a heavy offshore center console or walkaround in the high twenties to low thirties as a single, or one of a pair on larger hulls. Check your capacity plate and the transom rating before ordering.
How many hours are on this F350?
The listing did not state a reading. Hours come off the ECU before the engine ships, and we will send you that figure with compression on every cylinder if you ask.

Shipping and crating
The engine is bolted upright to a purpose built pallet, braced at the cowling and skinned before it leaves the warehouse. Crates are photographed on the dock and the photographs are attached to your order record.
Freight is curbside by default. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a delivery window, and you will need a second pair of hands or a tractor to take the crate off the truck. Liftgate service and delivery direct to an authorized dealer can both be added at checkout.
Standard transit is five to ten working days depending on zone, express is one to three. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are quoted separately.
| Destination zone | Freight on this engine | Transit |
|---|---|---|
| Standard freight | $100 | About a week |
